A debt planner that tells the truth

Web app design + build for a credit card payoff planner

Unbury cover

Unbury shows people exactly how much interest their credit cards drain every month, compares three realistic payoff strategies side by side, and hands back a month-by-month schedule they can actually follow.

The challenge

Debt tools either bury people in spreadsheets or hide the math behind a signup wall. Unbury had to make heavy financial modeling — APR ranking, avalanche schedules, consolidation comparisons — legible at a glance, while keeping every number on the user's own device.

The approach

Built a high-contrast, no-nonsense interface around a single yellow-and-black system: oversized type for the numbers that matter, a per-debt interest breakdown that shows how much of each minimum payment is just renting money, and a three-column scenario view comparing minimums, avalanche and consolidation. No login, no cloud, works offline.

The outcome

A tool that turns a vague, stressful number into a dated plan — and answers the only question that matters: what's the fastest way out.
